Pffff … do you recognize this? December is always too short to do what needs to be done and here in Switzerland I don’t even celebrate Saint Nicholas (which is a big thing in Holland). But even without the poems and “surprises” (the elaborately wrapped gifts that people give to each other in Holland), I still have the impression that there are not enough hours in December. This is partly caused by the visits to the 2 families. Instead of going over to grab a coffee you’re always on the road for a couple of days, week in Holland, week in Ireland. I just love it, but when you get back home there’s all of a sudden only one week left before Christmas, the tree isn’t up yet and the Christmas visitors are already knocking on the door!
One thing I don’t really (really don’t!) get to do in December is scrapping. Almost half of my hard disk is filled with half-finished projects that scream for attention. I just love Christmas, but I’m also looking forward to see January arrive when all is quiet again and I can sit behind my computer full time!
But for the time being I have sparkles in my eyes when I think of coming Saturday: the start of 2 wonderful Christmas weeks with a house full of family!
Merry Christmas to you all!
